I have a large server and an intel a380 arc card sitting in a drawer because of lack of support in the past. It’s been several months since I’ve was looking into. Does plex support HW transcoding using intel arc cards now? The ffmpeg libraries have been updated.
I’m not sure what the status is on “official support” but if you look in this thread it seems like a lot of people are having success running them
I’m running unraid instead of windows but I’d imagine as far as plex goes it’s using the same libraries of ffmpeg, right?
The level of ‘support’ depends entirely on what’s in the Intel Media Driver.
We did update to their latest in this last update.
Whatever is present there is what everyone got.
