Is there really no way to edit the 'actors' manually?

I thought that its even possible to add /change an actor in the same way as Genres, Regis, country, etc.

Is there a special work-around solution, or am I blind?

no, you are not blind ... it's just not supported ... only plex dev's knows why..^^

Can't the xml be modified directly? Just guessing without looking into it.
