The idea is to create a collection of top 250 movies from my library based on rating, here is the issues faced :
the “Limit to” feature of the filters screen not working, even if I limited it to 250, the collection is showing more than 250
the rating filter is not working, the “Plex agent (new)” is collecting rating from tomato or Imdb but the movie rating is not filled. therefore, I used my own rating for that (using 3rd party tool), but the rating filter is “stars” based, if the rating of the movie is 67% for instance, the filter of 2-3 stars is not accurate with field value.
Thank you for your reply. Indeed, I can achieve it with a sort based on “Critic Rating” or “Audience Rating".
however regarding the limit, the collection is displaying 250 items when opened (great!), but in the collections list, the number of item displayed (under the collection image) is wrong as mentioned here :
That flaw is not avoidable. Because to display the real number, the server would have to execute the filter criteria of each smart collection – every time you return to this page. For performance reasons this is not a good strategy.
The only alternative would be to not display the number of items.
How about just parsing the limit=250 from the filter string but not actually executing the filter? Then just show the limit as the item count. There could still be fewer items than the limit when you actually enter the collection and execute the filter, but it’s slightly more correct than showing the total count.
