Issue: Not recording when limiting airing time

Plex won’t record when i try to restrict the recording to a specific airing time. Whenever i do this, the recording disappears from the recording schedule and the recording priority indicates that there are no upcoming airings (see screenshot). This happens for all scheduled recordings, no matter what channel and/or airing time.

When i don’t limit the airing time, the recording works just fine (see screenshot).

This issue is quite annoying, because in some cases it would be really important to specify airing times in order to avoid collusions between recordings. Does anyone else have this issue and/or know how to fix this? :frowning:

There is an issue with using the Minutes Before Start and Limit to Airing Time options on a recording. So you must currently pick which one you want to use.

Thank you for your information. Since TV airings almost never start exactly on time, the minutes before start option is absolutely vital. That makes the limit to airing time feature pretty much useless for now…

Hopefully this issue will get fixed soon! :-/

A GitHub incident has been raised with Plex regarding this issue. Don’t know when it will be addressed and a fix issued.
