Server Version 4.76.1:
After Plex switched the TV metadata agent backend to pull from TMDB instead of TheTVDB, the “Cast” listing on show pages are inaccurate. They show cast members by the number of episodes they are in instead of actual listed Regular (Lead) Characters listed in IMDB and official credits. So far example, if a new regular cast member gets added, they are usually not even shown because they were not in as many episodes as random minor characters who may have been there from the beginning. This is a flaw with TMDB, and it’s now reflected in Plex as well due to this switch. When it was pulling from TheTVDB before that agent change, this issue never happened because they actually sort their cast members based on IMDB / official listings.

I would not myself see this as a flaw from TMDB, its a design decision one I really like and am glad to see plex move to it.
