Requesting this as a feature request to be considered. I for one use cast alot to see what other shows/movies actors have been in from my media but alot of the time its missing information. I have been using TVDB and their cast list leave a lot to be desired as many shows are either locked or have bad avatars for the actors they have. Ultimately I’d like to move my TV library over to TMDB.
However, probably the biggest issue that has stopped me moving is the fact that when you use TMDB to download the metadata it only selects the cast based off the last season and not the entire show.
Let me use Stargate SG1 as an example. When matched in plex using TMDB only the latest season (S10 in this example) Regular Cast are shown (see screenshot below) …
… nothing else. Its from the following https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/4629-stargate-sg-1/edit?active_nav_item=regular_cast&language=en-US list. This then removes many cast members from earlier seasons like Peter Williams and Corin Nemec etc…
Would it be possible to change the logic here download either

entire series cast (https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/4629-stargate-sg-1/cast?language=en-US). Now in this example that is 595 cast members which I know is a lot but maybe some cap could be used, say the top 25 or 50 or 100 cast members.

implement per season / eposide cast list matching the Regular Cast plus guests per eposide. Understand this one is very much a stretch but would be really (really) nice to have.
On other shows this also can be worse. Say a lead actor is in the first few seasons of Game of Thomes and then is killed off – as the cast is only downloaded for the last season then they are missing. Not very accurate.
Anyhow, long post but thanks for reading and hoping oneday this could be implemented.
