Issue with Daily Show/Colbert/Southpark channels

Hello PlexConnecters!

 

As you may be already aware, there was a recent change made by Comedy Central where they switched their CDN provider. This caused the channels mentioned in the topic to stop functioning (as one might expect). 

 

The channels have recently been fixed and the update has been pushed out. While it is working for most use cases, PlexConnect appears to be having some trouble. I ran some basic tests and posted the results in the Channel forum: https://forums.plex.tv/topic/115467-daily-show-and-colbert-report-no-longer-working/page-2#entry694643

 

The summary is that the new fix is working everywhere I tried to use it except when using it through PlexConnect. In that scenario the stream stops after "part1" (where the commercial break happens) and does not pick up again. Instead, when the first part is over, it returns to the menu as if the entire episode were over. 

 

Hopefully this is a known issue but I wanted to post it in case it wasn't.

It was working fine for me on Roku-Plex and web interface last week. This week no episodes after 8/7 are available.

I think maybe I chose a poor title for my topic and thus caused a little confusion. The channels are working fine. The shows are currently on vacation and the last new episodes were Aug 7. Also, I believe Roku has a native Plex client and does not use PlexConnect (please correct me if I’m wrong about that).

Nice that it works now. Is anyone else having stacking problems? On the MBP, they seem to be working properly. On the Apple TV, it's a no go.

yep.  iOS plays them fine, commercial break leads to next segment seamlessly, however, PlexConnect doesn't.  When set to 'transcode' you can see an attempt at playing the next segment, but chokes and exits to episode menu screen.  It should be doable with a change to either channel code/plexconnect code or both.
