Issue with setting Video quality

Hi,
in settings section i set Online/Remove/Local vid quality to 12Mb/s 1080, but if i playback any movie with higher bitrate its still set to Original instead of forced default 12mb/s. Any idea why?

Just my two cents.

It depends.

There are a few places that can be set and can affect video settings and video quality. One place is on the Server computer. One place is inside each individual applications settings.

I don’t know if you are talking about Plex web application settings? Or are you talking about remote streaming settings? Or are you talking about a specific application setting on a specific device?

If your server is set up to limit to 12mb / 1080. And your app is set up to play original quality. Then that might be where your issue is. Maybe check the application settings and try some out and see what happens?

I see that you tagged your post under Plex-for-Kodi. Maybe check for any Kodi settings that might be getting in the way?

Hello,
on server side ie plex server its set:
Limit remote stream bitrate 25 mbps (4k)
Internet streaming video quality 2mbps

The client i mentioned with its settings is plex-for-kodi plugin installed on vero4k
