Issues with Fibrus ISP

Hi there, I am based in the UK and am using Fibrus ISP. Had no issues using plex until a couple of weeks ago when now the wheel just spins on anything I try and watch and the movie never seems to load. Eventually an error message appears. Its the same for any device, the Firestick, Macbook, phone. If I switch to 4G, everything works as it should.

I contacted Fibrus this morning and they said there are no issues on their side and they ‘dont block any apps’. They said to contact Plex incase Plex have blacklisted my IP address. Any suggestions or anyone else with the same issue?

  1. verify that Plex server still has the privilege to access the local network. This is a system preference in MacOS. While you’re at it, check the same for the app.plex.tv website, and the Plex desktop app if you’re using that one. Important note about the Plex Web app - Local Network Access
  2. peruse the troubleshooting list in https://support.plex.tv/articles/206225077-how-to-use-secure-server-connections/
  3. many Plex client apps now enforce the new rules of requiring either a Plex Pass, or at least a Remote Watch Pass for streaming from a remote server. This doesn’t only affect remote clients: A server is considered “remote” if it is in a different network than the client. There are quite a few network configurations, where a server can end up in a different network than your local home network. See Client says it won't play from "remote server", although the server is local
