Issues with multiple DVRs?

Server Version#: 1.20.0.3133
Player Version#: 4.34.4
Tuner Make/Model: xTeve (as Silicon Dust)
Using XMLTV?: yes

Hi all,

I’ve had this issue before and am running into it again now that I’m trying to add more to my Plex. I currently have a DVR set up using xTeve which runs fine, no issues since I set it up months ago. I recently wanted to set up another one, which it allows, but seem to be having issues.

I can add another DVR like you should, channels show up, setup works, I can even watch it and view them all in the guide, but a little while after, something happens, and nothing shows up anymore under Live TV and DVR. It’s just blank. And when I check in the settings, both DVRs are there and showing what they should. The only issue I can see is that the first DVR will be de-selecting all of the channels and I’ll only have the channels from the second one enabled.

I’m not sure if this is a Plex issue or xTeve issue, but seeing as though Plex doesn’t allow you to add more than one EPG source, I’m not sure how to work around this issue.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Edit: It seems Plex might have issues if two DVRs share the same IP? Even if the ports are different. Just had the DVR go out again even though I removed the second one, but still had it running. Just turned it off to see what happens now.

I am not sure how the xTeve works but I do not recall this being one of the suggested tuners for Plex.
I have the Hauppauge WinTV-quadHD (PCI Express) and the Hauppauge WinTV-dualHD (USB) for tuners. So 6 tuners total connected to my Plex server. The only issue I had recently is that the WinTV-quadHD stopped recording and to get it working again I had to Uninstall the drivers for it and then reinstall them. After that It started working again.
Could be that you might need to uninstall the device/drivers and reinstall it again to get it working.

Hope this helps
