I’m not going to hijack the thread but in case it’s relevant, my server just becomes unreachable on any device, for me in my home (as well as remotely)… the server works for a few hours then I can’t connect (unreachable in my home network). If I use Activity Monitor to close all the running Plex services then restart the Plex server it works just fine (that is until it stops again). I never had an issue like this… very frustrating for me and my family… Plex put me in a bad mood on Valentines Day
I have reported an issue before with live TV/DVR and it was not addressed. Plex Ninjas don’t seem to respond anymore and I find it a complete waste of my time. I just came here to see if anyone else was experiencing issues and to bump their post and I have issues with the latest release as well. I’m sure it’ll be fixed in the next release since the last is completely unstable. I backdated to a previous version for now and everything works great. I use the beta releases so that I have the most up to date fixes with live TV/DVR but this time it worked against me…
Unfortunately yes, close all Plex services, reinstall public release and skip the update. That’s how I fixed it, works great as it should. Your media and settings will not be lost. Plex has been a mess lately…
No, all you have to do is go to http://plex.tv with a browser and download a non pass version and swap out the download in the application folder.
Or go to the Hidden library in go menu, top of desktop. Hold down option key.
library/application support/plex media server/ updates/ go back a couples version and use the installer to downgrade Plex Media server. You must have admin privileges.
