It it true that plugins are no longer supported?

I was asking some advice regarding Subzero plugin on reddit, and people kept saying I should not use plugins anymore becuase they are no longer supported. Is this correct? I since removed Subzero and miss some of its features.

There’s two parts to that question:

  1. Content plugins / channels have been discontinued for quite some time… this was announced almost 3 years ago

  2. The new set of Plex agents no longer supports complementary agents – with some old agents you can add your own agents to contribute information; this is e.g. what’s being used with the subzero plugin.

So… content plugins are definitely gone. Third party agents will still work with legacy agents but not with the new Plex Movie, Plex TV Series, Plex Music agents.
