Access to plugin content

Hi,

Previously I was able to access plugin content and management through “online content” -> “plugins” on the main page of Plex media server.
For example, I could access “subzero” plugin and search for a specific movie’s subtitle.

But now, on the same page, I can only access plugin’s settings. For example, I can change “subzero” plugin settings and select subtitle sources.

How shall I access plugin’s management & content with latest version of Plex Media Server ?

thanks

you can’t.

plugins were deprecated over a year go.

what do you mean ?
I am still able to use Subzero for subtitles. So it works.
I just can’t access it manually and do a force search for example.

Besides, if something was deprecated a year ago, I should not be able to access it just a month ago. Am I wrong ?

if that’s the reality , then there won’t be any way to download subtitles , right ?
what are we supposed to do ?
if I won’t be able to automate subtitle sync process, then there’s not much use of Plex for me…

plex has built in subtitle support and has for a long time now

subzero and other plugins will continue to work in the background, there simply isn’t any other UI available via plex.

though some plugins have been updated so they can be accessed outside of plex.

@ [REL] Sub-Zero 2.6.5.3124 - Subtitles done right is the thread for the subzero plugin, where you can review the thread to see if there is any answer to your problem.

In actual fact it was announced they were going to be deprecated over a year ago. That’s not when it happened.
Things like subzero and trakt have worked just fine until a few weeks ago.
Also you can still access trakt and probably subzero from PlexMediaPlayer or Kitana.
For subzero definitely Kitana works for now.
Eventually that will break too.

well, I didn’t know that Plex has subtitle support. when did that start ?
if that’s working fine, then I’d be very happy to use it instead of using a 3rd party plugin.

but I really can’t see it. how can I make use of it ?

A long time ago.
Initially It didn’t have an option for forced subs. (My only use case).
I have no idea if that has changed.

thanks. it seems to work. but only supports opensubtitles. which is really not sufficient.
so I guess, I have to use Sub Zero without its GUI.
I really hate when something good is removed…
time to look for an alternative to Plex before they remove plugin Sub zero totally.
