Starting with about 2 days ago Plex has been marking all the items in my Plex Library as missing and then removing them from my library. This is a problem as it takes upwards of 24hours to do a full Scan as my libraries so large. It started happening after the MyCloud Duo updated itself. Any advise to stop this happening would be appreciated.
step 1: change the settings of your Plex Media Server so it won’t automatically delete items it no longer finds. to do that, go to Settings > Library and uncheck Empty trash automatically after every scan.
step 2: check if the update to your MyCloud Duo changed anything about the permissions of your library folders and their items. Also… did the update potentially result in a change the structure the media is made available within the NAS (e.g. by renaming the top-level folders or entry points)?
I have already changed the library setting about the trash to stop that happening. The strange thing is that when I do another re scan it finds things. Then later on loses them again. Do you know how I’d check those permissions?
