I was really hoping the old “audio boost” in Android TV to be ported everywhere including mobile in the new app but looks like the devs are not bringing it back for whatever reason.
Audio boost worked fabulously for me in the old app.
I have definitely not seen any documentation supporting your claim. Key is it is a preview.
“Remember last tab” is not coming back to the new app and that was announced by a Plex employee in the comments and not in a post by the Plex team. Similarly, I believe some things are not coming back because no one is talking about it. Plex employees can atleast say it is planned and I’ll sit tight.
At the risk of going off-topic, but since you Brought it up…
Because they replaced “Remember last tab” with a new (and better, in my opinion) setting to allow you to explicitly choose your preferred library landing page. It’s Settings -> Experience -> Default Library View. The options are “Browse” or “Recommended.”
So now, when you select a library, you can always start on Browse, for example.
This is as of version 2025.13.0.
My post was about audio boost and “remember last tab” was an example. So audio boost is not coming?
Your guess is as good as anyone’s.
But as stated above… the current version on Apple TV is a preview – there’s a lot going on and lots of features keep getting added.
You mentioned “remember last tab selection” as a reference for things that are not coming back – and you got a response on how it’s been replaced. That response was purely about you mentioning this feature, not in response to the audio boost.
It’s not for apple tv it’s for Android TV and android mobile. The mod changed it to apple tv for whatever reason.
Since external player support is going away, there is no way to boost audio. Phones like pixels don’t support dolby Atmos and audio boost is necessary for them. Likewise for TV as well.
You said “ATV” and the mod assumed you meant AppleTV. I think a lot of people would default to that instead of Android TV.
