I have a Plex Pass, and also have iTunes. Both Plex and iTunes running on a MacMini. Right now, Plex is pointed at my iTunes Media folders; but, I’d like to “cut the cord”, get away from ITunes altogether and use PMS exclusively. Almost all of my music was purchased w/o DRM (i.e. - loaded into iTunes from other sources); so I’m expecting I’ll be OK there.
Here’s what I THINK I need to do:
Create a new library in Plex, in a different (empty) set of folders. When I create the library, tell it to “import from iTunes”. Verify the library. Delete the old library that points to iTunes.
Is it really that simple?
