Itunes playlists will not load

I have posted this before. It seems that the import of the playlist seems to work, however when you look at the log it states that it cannot import the playlist due to parsing errors. It has something to do with special characters in the .xml I think.

eg:

DEBUG - Added new metadata item (Christmas) with ID 37434

It seems that Itunes version 12, adds file://localhost to the location of every song in the .xml file. I think this maybe why the plex importer cannot find the file.
