I have a TV show that keeps displaying an episode as partially watched on the home screen, even after it was viewed in full. I’ve tried marking all the episodes in the season as un-watched, and remarking those already viewed as watched. Any other suggestions to straighten out the database, other then wiping it out and having Plex rebuild everything? It’s only a minor inconvenience.
This usually happens when there is somewhere a Plex client in perpetual Pause mode.
This could be a Roku or a similar device which is rarely used but has still power.
Or it is the web app in one of several dozens of web browser tabs which still has an open Plex player…

Careful with rebooting. Some browsers will restore their previous browsing sessions if you restart the whole device. It is better to look for open web app tabs/windows and find the Stop button in them.
Nuff said. But I suspect the Nvidia Shield or the Android TV for hanging things up.
