It just dawned on me I have a jailbroken first generation Apple TV that I can SSH into (it's been sitting in my tech drawer for quite sometime now). I've been trying to find the best/simplest way to install a Plex client on the ATV (preferably through SSH and command line) so I can make it usable again. Pretty much everyone other room in my house is connected to my Plex Server except one of the bedrooms.
Whatever solution is taken will need to allow wireless streaming as there is no wired connection in the target location. My workstation however, has direct access to the router and can establish a wired connection while SSH'ing into the ATV.
Any thoughts or feedback would be appreciated. I tried using XMBC with a Plex frontend but found it to be too cumbersome for the target audience (non-technical individuals).
