Apple TV 3, OS X Mavericks and Plex - Can I still use Air Play

Just a quick question really. With Mavericks you can now use a TV as a second display, rather than having to just mirror your monitor.

Is it possible to still make use of all the regular Apple TV features, and access a Plex server without jail breaking the device?

Also with gen 3 of the apple TV am I able to get a nice menu for browsing media, I’m looking for a simple way of accessing a plex server on the same network in my home from a number of TV’s. Is the apple TV going to meet my needs?

Yes with plexconnect start here: https://github.com/iBaa/PlexConnect/wiki/Install-Guide Do not skip the preflight checklist! As long as apple doesn't spoil the fun of course, there has been a few bumps in the road but plexconnect keeps working  ;) Airplay still works as well, think of plexconnect as shooting some steroids into your Apple TV.
