As you know in one of the latest updates removed the support for AAC multichannel audio which forces our servers to recode everything to stereo with Chromecast.
Request to restore chromecast multi-channel sound codec AAC 5.1
In the apple family devices (iphone, apple tv) the same happens our servers have to transcode the audio to stereo.
Please is native sound and therefore supported for these devices.
Please join me to achieve AAC multi-channel sound restoration for chromecast and support our Apple products at once.
So our servers would stop transcoding without need
