Joining a Watch Together session is no longer possible on AppleTV

Joining an already created Watch Together Session is no longer possible since a few days. The Screen goes black for a second and returns. It is possible to create a Watch together Session and start it on Apple TV, it’s also possible to join the session from other devices, just not from the aTV.
Reproducible and tested with 2 aTVs and 2 users.

Running into the same issue-- one thing I’ll add is that if the “session creator” client leaves the session and tries to return, they’ll run into the same issue as any other Apple TV-based client.

Joining does seem to rarely work; there have been a couple of instances where repeatedly attempting to join the session will work correctly and begin buffering.

Rejoining from any other device works though.

I’m also experiencing the same issue. I tried this feature about 2-3 weeks ago with 2 Apple TVs and it worked fine at that time, so seems like a recently introduced bug. I am able to join from multiple iOS devices and a windows client, just not Apple TV.

I have another two users with the same thing - both using Apple TVs with the latest version of Plex for tvOS (8.12), server running 1.29.2.6364 (QNAP NAS). When either user attempts to join a Watch Together session from their Apple TV, they join the session for a split second (and other people in the session see their status change to “Buffering”), and then they’re immediately kicked. If they join the session from the latest versions of Plex for iOS or Plex for macOS (the other Plex clients they have access to), they’re able to join just fine.

Seems like current version of Plex for tvOS has broken Watch Together support.

Likewise. Happening on my users Apple TV devices. Buffers for a second, then kicks them out. Hoping Plex devs fix this ASAP and don’t just abandon the feature.
