As a family we have one plex master account and 4 managed accounts running off it. Two members of the family often watch media together as well as separately.
It would be neat to be able to create another managed joint account which syncs its played status to the two individual accounts but not vice-versa.
Eg person 1 watches show 1 individually on their ipad but watches show 2 with person 2 together on the tv (using theoretical joint account). The played status of show 2 then syncs to person 1’s individual account (and to person two’s individual account) but the played status of show 1 doesn’t sync to the joint account.
There’s an existing feature suggestion discussing an option to have multiple accounts “join” a viewing session where all accounts involved in watching something, will have their watch history updated while watching something on the same device. I suggest you comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes.
Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.
