A scenario where a household with 2 people both with plex on tablet plus a rasplex connected to the tv can generate a lot of frustration when both watch the same shows.
If they share a single account, the “watched/unwatched” can be difficult to track, if they use different accounts it’s impossible.
A joint account would be awesome. Each log in with own account on the iPads and with the joint account on rasplex. When X watches an episode on her iPad, that episode appears as “watched by X” on the rasplex but as unwatched on the Y iPad. On the rasplex the account can be switched so, X or Y can use own account to watch “solo” the shows on TV.
This would work with 2 people as with 3 it can get quite complicated…
One way to solve this is for the preplay screen to have a section where it shows “Watched by:” and a list of people in your plex home who have watched it. However, users should need to opt in to that so privacy can be preserved if desired.
… and when logged in on the joint account and resuming a movie you would be presented with options to resume from either users or start fresh… That would be really awesome…
