I’ve recently changed my setup around from Plex Home Theater to the Xbox 360 app.
My one complaint is that I can no longer use the jump forward or jump back feature (10 or 30 seconds ahead or back). That option seems to be greyed out on the Xbox 360 interface. The fast-forward and rewind seem a bit sluggish to respond as well.
Anyone know how to get the jump forward/back working on the xbox 360?
Does the ability to jump forward or back have to do with transcoding?
Does jump forward/back work for anyone on Xbox 360? I guess I should find out if it works at all on the Xbox 360 first, before checking my own setup…
I want to be able to use the jump forward/back feature but it’s grayed out in the Xbox media controls. Anyone have any thoughts? I am considering upgrading to the Xbox One. Can anyone confirm that the X1 can jump forward and back? My wife does NOT like only using forward and rewind. It reminds me of trying to find the beginning of a song on a cassette tape… Yuck!
My wife wasn’t a fan either. We switched to the raspberry pi 2 and the
jump forward/back works really well. It’s wife-approved.
So then it’s confirmed that you can’t jump forwards or backwards on the Xbox 360? You have to use FF and RW?
I’d look into the RasPlex but I need to have at least Netflix and Amazon on the same system.
I haven’t found any official documentation that it can’t be done but I’ve
confirmed with a few other users that they can’t do it either… So I’m
assuming FF and RW are the only options.
I have this question too. It’s too bad that not one single Plex employee will confirm this issue.
We have a few different threads going on in the plex pass section of the forums, I started one myself last April
I’m not sure about the Xbox1 but for sure the 360 doesn’t have this option yet
