Just wanted to say thanks for making Plexamp a great addition to the Plex family of products. Having access to my entire music library while working from anywhere makes the day that much better. Whether it is dekstop or mobile, Plexamp is stable, love the sweet fades and volume leveling. The playlist that I typically listen to (play count = zero, sorted random, exclude genre Christmas) allows for all genres to be eligible. SF and VL make everything sound a much more cohesive. I feel like I have my own commercial free radio station. Going from Frank Sinatra to Slipknot can be a bit polarizing though, but that is what I asked for, and it works
Looking forward to continued features and hoping some suggestions are considered.
Playlists based on other playlists, probably more a server thing than Plexamp.
Plexamp recognizing which output device is selected and adjust the EQ to match. Headphone jack, Bluetooth name as I have multiple, earbuds and cans, CarPlay or Aindroid Auto, etc.
That would be soooo nice. The top shelf version would be Plexamp automatically switching to preset/custom EQ’s based on what device is plugged in to the listening output. EQ for when headphones are plugged in to phone, and when headphones are not plugged in the EQ is auto loaded for standard phone speakers. etc… Of course with a toggle for that feature being on or off.
If you have Enable Equalizer disabled, does that disable for all custom output device configurations or just the one preset. I would assume you would simply leave the EQ enabled and have a flat EQ if you want it “off”. I would be interested to see what it looks like after you have connected a few different output devices, or does this entire screen change according to the currently connected output device?
With your design choice, would it be possible to have different custom EQs for the same output, specifically the headphone jack. I understand the app won’t know how to detect what is connected to the headphone jack, but if I have a few speaker setups (Band Rehearsal and Band Gig Breaks) that might want a different EQ setting, is that possible? Are you able to customize the name of the preset or does it inherent the output device’s name?
Yeah exactly like that!!! You read my mind! Or I read yours!? Dun dun dun… That is a very clever way to handle with a custom flat EQ. Description/explanation of how it works will be needed. Looks promising.
