It would be real helpful to have the ability to save different EQ settings. My headphones need different settings than my speakers, and different genres sometimes need different EQ.
I have used other ways to accomplish the same things as Plex, but this is the best. Love it. My only complaint is that you did not publicize when you added the ability to select output devices. I lost time when I could have been using Plex. All is right now though. Thanks for listening.
I was going to post about this same thing. It would be very nice to be able to set a custom EQ and name it.
For example I live the dongle life and listen to music through my phone mostly, I use IEMs that I like a different EQ for and Over Ear headphones at other times that need a different EQ. If there was a way to add user custom EQ’s and save them, and then maybe have a list you can toggle to the one you want that would be very nice.
In a similar vein, I have multiple speaker docks that cradle the device using the usb out and it would be nice to create a savable EQ for each different device or genre.
Doesn’t it already do this? When Enable Equaliser is checked, then select “Use Custom Preset” it automatically changes the equaliser preset depending on what is connected. For example I have different presets for phone speakers, airpods & Sonos Roam, and it automatically chooses the correct preset
For headphone users on a phone if you switched between headphones the custom EQ would not change to the different headphones. Before the 4.5.0 update headphone users had to re-input the custom EQ for each headphone as they were using it.
These presets make it a nice quick search and click. Very nice update.
Thanks all. My Linux version from the repo was 4.4. Getting the 4.5 from the Plex site gave me preloaded presets and the ability to modify presets (and save them).
Great!
This EQ, Linux support, selectable direct output, and easy remote control over wifi all give me everything I need in one media package for the first time. Ever.
