Kernel Panic causing spontaneous restart when Hardware Transcoding on iMac Pro - Mac OS 10.14.4 and Plex 1.15.3.876

I’m having a consistent problem when attempting to transcode 4K HEVC using “Hardware Transcode” on my iMac Pro. Within minutes of the start of this process, the computer experiences a kernel panic and restarts spontaneously. This is consistently replicated under these conditions.

I have reinstalled the Plex server under a fresh user.

There is no problem using software transcoding with the same files using software transcoding - but this bypasses the T2 chip which is part of the point of having this hardware.

Anyone got any solutions?
