Keyboard ShortCuts for Plex MacOS App

I can tell you can use keyboard shortcuts for the Plex HTPC desktop app, but it doesn’t work with the Plex macOS desktop app. The one just called “plex”. I think it would be great to have keyboard shortcuts in both apps.

I don’t have a Mac, but I would assume they have the same shortcuts as Plex for Windows or Plex web

Hit the question mark key
There’s a menu that pops up

Or click on the icon with your profile image in the top-right corner of the window and select Keyboard Shortcuts to get to the same list of available shortcuts

Thanks for you replies.

Your are right there is a menu for keyboard shortcuts.

But the one i’m missing the most is to activate/deactivate subtitles (with the s key) in the player. I can use it in Plex HTPC, but not on the macOS plex app.

And you can not add or modify keyboard shortcuts.

Thanks.

There’s already an existing suggestion for Plex to add a shortcut to enable/switch subtitles and audio tracks. Please comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes.

With shortcuts in general being supported and another suggestion being in place for the gap you’ve mentioned, I will close this suggestion as a duplicate (unless I’m missing some other aspect of your suggestion).

OK, you can close.
