There could be a collaboration option with JRiver Media Center? JimH (the owner) recently asked his users who to work with (and Jim suggested Plex could be one) - https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,121777.0.html

For those not familiar with JRiver Media Center for Windows, it supports all the HTPC Videophile goodies such as:

  • Direct file playback:
  • 10ft interface
  • Remote Control
  • Inbuilt (and customisable) madVR
  • Inbuilt LAV Filters
  • Frame Rate switching
  • Full Audio (ether decoding or bitstreaming)
  • Video Clock for audio sync (no drift) for decoded audio
  • BD and UHD BD Menus (you can select to use them or use direct Title Playback)

It may be worth dropping Jim a line to see what can be done using MC as a HTPC Windows Client for Plex.
