I got a recovery email that says it will work for 7 days. NEITHER THE LINK NOR THE RECOVERY CODE WORKS.

I’m pretty sure Plex did this on purpose to take away my lifetime membership.

So, why would Plex be interested in doing this?

There are enough a-holes out there who make a quick buck by selling capered Plex accounts. Very likely you became victim of someone who was able to guess your password, possibly helped by one of the numerous data dumps of cracked account credentials which are floating around the internet.
