Server Version#: 1.25.9.5721-7000
Player Version#: Plex-1.43.3.2951-1d73e3f3-x86_64
Ever since the latest update that upped my Plex App for Windows version to the one above, Plex has acted really weird.
The window when on my home screen has some flickering/mouse lag like the framerate/sync is outta whack. I tried messing with different settings in Nvidia control panel setting to Fixed Refresh instead of G-Sync, setting max fps, but nothing works.
The weirdest part, is that the app continually opens up like it’s a fresh new install where I have to choose the server, and then every couple of openings, it prompts for an update, installing the exact same version over again, and the cycle repeats.
I already uninstalled and deleted all folders and registry entries left over by it, but the issue still persists. My server isn’t the issue, because it works fine using any other device from the website in Chrome to my Roku.
I just think this version is fubar’d.
Anyone else experiencing the same issue?
UPDATE
Okay, so after I posted this I tried to think of the things that have changed recently, and the only thing I’ve changed on my computer (other that installing Windows updates) since the last Plex App update, was turning on Memory Integrity.
I turned that off and rebooted and installed Plex App for Windows again, and I’ve closed and re-opened it almost a dozen times, and it still is working fine, so the Memory Integrity has to be the issue. Sucks that Windows wouldn’t tell you something was trying to mess with something so you could allow it, like you can with other settings.
Anywho, I was just trying that Core Isolation for shiggles, and so I will leave it off. ![]()
