Problem: Seth Meyers shows starts recording late - the recording starts in the middle of the monologue, long after the credits. For example, with the most recent S12 / E141.

“Local Broadcast listing” is is the Lineup name. Did you use multiple zip codes during set up?
When you click on it in the guide is the time wrong here? What time is does it actually start where you are?
Thanks for your response. It shows the correct time for the upcoming episode, yes. I noticed that mine shows 61 mins, whereas yours is 60 minutes, though.
I’m not able to look at previous episodes in the guide, unfortunately, as one can only go back 3 hours.
However, I can see these previous episodes in the library. I noticed that each episode has a different duration. Some are 59 minutes, others 60 minutes, and yet others 61 minutes. The ones that are 59 minutes have the start truncated, with part of the monologue missing. The longer ones have the full monologue. Some may be missing part of the previous show with Jimmy Fallon, or the credits for Late night with Seth Meyers, which I don’t care about. But I do care about having the full monologue. This is very likely a problem with the recording start time.
Unfortunately, the library view does not show important details, such as the exact start and stop times for each recording. Having those visible would go a long way to diagnosing all these DVR & EPG problems. Is there a way to see them ?
I’m trying to determine if this is an EPG issue which seem like it is not if the time is correct, or some issue with recording in general.
So you were recording the show previous to this as well? wondering if there is some delay when stopping the previous recording to start recording the next
If not you may have to add a “minutes before start” when you set up the recording
Yes, I have been recording this show for years. The cut-off at the start is not a recent problem. It used to be a lot worse, though. Oftentimes, the recording would be just 55 minutes, and unwatchable. Now it is 59 to 61 minutes, and less is missing. I never reported the problem, because I had a workaround - recording it with JRiver Media Center simultaneously, using the SiliconDust EPG, which always yielded a complete recording.
I just added one minute before start to the recording options. Hopefully, that will fix it.
