So, in a recent iOS update prior to the latest one, we were given the option to chose “Browse” or “Recommended” to be the default view, so the latest “fix” of “Recommended” to be the default ISN’T REALLY A FIX. It was already available. I like to have my libraries shown as “Browse” because my home page lets me see most of that other stuff in one place. However, I have a friend share 2 of his libraries with me and for his libraries I would like to see “Recommended” as the default so I can see new things he’s added. I hope you can help with this and make it a choice for each library rather than an “all or nothing” default view. Otherwise, I’ve seen the progress being made and things are getting better and liking the new version, but PLEASE help with this one. It seems like it should be doable with some of the other functionality that you guys already have. Also, I really am missing the Theme Music that, to me, makes Plex really great!
I have been trying to fix the same issue. Nobody seems willing to help on this one.
I think they will but always good to let them know because they seem a little mixed up on this one. I’m guessing there was some miscommunication on this as the “fix” wasn’t a “fix”, it was already an option. What you and I want, and what we had with the old Plex, was the ability to remember the tab that we chose for each library. Don’t know about you, but to me it’s kind of a HUGE thing!
Go to Settings->Experience->Default Library View and change to Browse. If you don’t have that option, you’re not on the latest release.
No, you don’t get what I’m saying and I AM on the latest release. I have 4 libraries, my movies and television and a buddy’s movies and television. You can toggle between browse and recommended but then you have that as the default view for ALL libraries. I want MY libraries as BROWSE and HIS as RECOMMENDED. The latest update said a “fix” was that “Recommended” was the default library view. That didn’t make sense since the previous update allowed you that ability, just that maybe on their end when a person first sets up the new App it would be at “RECOMMENDED” rather than browse which is Plex’s goal to push all the paid stuff right now.
What you want is the old functionality “Remember Last Tab”. I too hope they bring this back.
