Until a few months ago, I basically run Plex Server updates as they came in. However, when I went past the version above on my Mac Mini running OSX 10.9, thumbnails disappeared on my media items, and my Roku app just kept buffering–would never play a video. So, I backed it out to the version above, and had no issues.
That was in October, of 2021, so I thought I would try an update again to the most recent version. Sure enough, the same problems happened again, forcing a downgrade.
Are versions past the one above not compatible with such an old OSX version (it’s as far as I can upgrade the box)? I’m considering buying a new Mac Mini once the new models are announced this spring (at least that’s the rumor), so I may just stay where I am on Plex for now–just curious if there’s anything “official” from Plex on this (their system requirements say my OSX version should work).
