Im suspecting this is not possible, but maybe, Plex will change something down the road!
I am looking for a way to allow any friend or family that is on the local network to use Plex without creating a whole different account. Plex is perfect for my application in every regard except the ease of sharing. I would like to be able to have someone download the app and the app recognize the local Plex service and automatically make a guest account that the admin approves. Once they leave the local network, Plex goes back to normal.
There is a large market out there that Plex is forgetting about, the yachting industry. With very different requirements from home use that with some engineering from Plex could make this software very desirable.
