I got a pretty strong unraid server 5950x 3060Ti (for transcoding) but I am noticing when I remote stream to a LG C3 it is playing in 4K but it’s apparently converting HDR to SDR.
Any particular reason for this? And if so how do I fix it?
What is displayed in Plex Dashboard → Now Playing + Expanded View?

If so, then it will be in SDR, as Plex transcodes to H.264 8-bit video.
The media is transcoding. But I’ve had 4K HDR content transcoding before but staying in HDR albeit with a lesser bitrate from client side? That is why i am scratching my head a little on it. It appears to be hit and miss, as one bit of content with transcode 4K HDR (to a lesser bitrate) whilst others will transcode 4K HDR to SDR.
Plex transcodes all video to H.264 SDR.
If you want to play HDR remotely then then eliminate the reason for the video transcode (bandwidth limitation, file compatibility, etc.).
