I got an LG B8, and a QNAP TS-251+ for the server part. Everything is up to date.
Like I describe in my previous post, I got the same behaviour, but reversed : The first 2 seconds, the right track is being played (I got “Dolby Digital” on my AVR) but it switched immediately to the wrong one (DTS).
Same problem here on my LG TVOLED55C9
It happened to me with 3 audio tracks:
English (TRUEHD 7.1) → I get transcoding in AAC, correct language
English (AC3 5.1) → I get direct play in Italian, wrong language
Italian (AC3 5.1) → I get direct play in English, wrong language
Of course the languages are labelled correctly and works fine from Plex for windows on my PC.

Here you are. Sorry for the dimension, but the original file is really very large. I tested on my LG TV and it had the same wrong behaviour as the original one.
Actually I noticed that this is happening with all my movies which have (at least) double audio track.
The player select the wrong track also with the same codec audio (tested with double track AAC audio)
Hi Link, I have the same issue but it’s definetly not solved for me, since I have it in every movie with multiple languages that I play. Are you sure that is working fine for you? And did you solve it just by updating the app, or doing something else?
Well that’s weird… For me, it fixed… I will say, 90% of the movie/shows I had problems with.
The 10% left are always when one of the track is in TrueHD, but some with TrueHD are working without issue, so…
And, normally, you have to nothing to do, as the app auto-update every time you launch it, on webos.
Chiming in to report that this doesn’t work for me either. I have English as my default audio language so it selects English DTS-HD MA but French AC3 is played back instead. No switching for me though, it’s the French one right from the start.
Here’s another file to test with. Easy to hear as one of the tracks is AC3 Stereo audio commentary which plays when AC3 5.1 is selected.
Just got a new LG 2020 model and am experiencing this issue. The selected audio channel (DTS-HD MA) plays a French audio track. It’s not just an issue of “one off” because the next track is Spanish, Korean, etc. It does appear to be mostly in order, so would seem like it is off by 2 or 3. Some other movies are not playing any audio and this is more difficult to diagnose. Selecting other audio tracks has no effect. The pattern I’ve found is that they are DTS Audio tracks as Sodapop73 identified.
TV Model: 55UN7300
WebOS: 5.0.0
PlexApp: 4.29.7 or 5.0.11
On my 2019 LG, not issue.
TV Model: 55UM7300
WebOS: 4.8.0
PlexApp: 4.29.7 or 5.0.11
Resolution: In the app settings under Audio, I unchecked DTS as an option. It seems the audio is now correct. Again, this issue is on WebOS 5.0.0, NOT 4.8.0. The solution works for both 4.29.7 and 5.0.11, so the issue is with WebOS version, not necessarily the PlexApp itself.
Thanks for this Resolution @sbolish! I can confirm that it fixed the issue I had a on webOS 5.1.1-3706. I was trying to watch Stargate Atlantis and I could only get the commentary audio track to play. By unchecking DTS in the Audio Settings on my LG CX OLED the correct audio, non commentary version, would play. Pausing the episode and changing the setting back and forth would instantly change the audio track to either the commentary or the normal episode track while the whole time Plex showed that the DTS-HD MA 5.1 audio track was selected.
