Libraries Constantly Scanning After Moving to New Hard Drive

Server Version#: 1.19.5.3112
Player Version#: NA

This post will be long so I apologize in advance but want to be sure I try to get all the info that may help in finding a solution so bear with me…

My hard drive on my Windows machine that hosts my Plex Media Server recently stopped booting so I bought a new hard drive and followed the steps to move all of my local metadata over to the new HDD. I have my 17.5TB of media stored in my Google Drive and have that mounted locally as a local drive through NetDrive3. I have my PMS set to Scan my library automatically and Run a partial scan when changes are detected. I used the Google Drive UI to upload my media and within a minute or so, Plex would recognize the change and scan the one directory that updated. Everything worked great.

However, with the new HDD, 2 of my 3 libraries are being scanned constantly now and in what seems to be a bizarre fashion. My Movies library is scanned constantly and seems to be moving all of my bonus content to actual movies. Library location is G:\My Drive\Movies. Folders are named as movie name (yyyy) with the file named as movie name (yyyy).mp4. Which is matched. Bonus content is under various folders named Featurettes, Deleted Scenes, etc. (ex. G:\My Drive\Movies\movie name (yyyy)\Featurettes\Featurette 1.mp4).

My TV Shows library is also scanned constantly (which takes forever) and in the Alerts, I get a “Scanning TV Shows” followed by whatever season of whatever show it’s scanning. If I remember on my other HDD, I would get one “Scanning TV Shows” and then would go through each show folder very quickly. This one isn’t doing much other than just scanning/refreshing metadata. But after running for hours and hours, after a couple of hours it starts again. For what it’s worth, naming convention is G:\My Drive\TV Shows\Show (yyyy)\Season 01\Show (yyyy) - S01E01 - Name of show.mp4.

For what it’s worth I have a very small Home Videos library which hasn’t had a scan kick off at all which is good because I haven’t uploaded any new ones.

I have googled and googled and can’t seem to find a good answer. I see where people say mounting a drive locally doesn’t handle automatic scans well but I was having no issues before. I just can’t seem to get it tuned right on this new HDD. I don’t know if something has gotten corrupted in my db that may be causing it (hate the thought of losing all that metadata/watch history/etc.) or if it’s something with my setup that I didn’t do the same way.

Anyone out there have experience with HDD migration/auto scans/mounted drives? or any ideas of what might be causing this issue and how to stop it? I hate to turn off auto scan because my TV Shows library is rather large and would take forever to rescan every time I upload some new episodes. I would upload logs but with it scanning constantly I’m not sure what I would need to upload.
