I tried reinstalling media server, didn’t help. I’m afraid of deleting it, and re-installing it. Will that remove my libraries meta data? What can I do?
Okay, I changed it to follow yours, but doing a manual scan doesn’t bring up any new info,
It made no difference. Manual scans don’t work either.
Have you tried rolling back your Server version
Okay I tried it, and put the last version that worked from February, but now my entire library is gone. I really hope I don’t lose my collections and tags. It’s weeks of work.
Looks like the meta data is still there. But no media can be found.
I think I know what happened. I added another Mac to the same network, and it was causing share problems so I renamed the mac that I am having problems connecting the media. So, I just renamed it back to the old name and it still can’t find any media, even if I try making a new library.
Can you post the server logs and provide the filename for something that is not being detected?
