It seems the country and localized titles settings are common to all libraries.
If so is there a reason for it? I have 2 libraries one for which I want Titles and Plots in different languages but Plex sets the option for all libraries although I use the Edit function of a specific library.
These properties are not really connected to the library.
They are properties of the metadata agent, which is selected as the library’s default agent.
And this agent’s settings are global.
You can find them as well if you go to
Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - Plex Movie
Then click on the small cogwheel icon at the end of the line ‘Plex Movie’.
The intention to mirror these settings in the properties of the library, was to make it more convenient for the users to reach them.
It doesn’t mean they are library-specific.
Thanks for your quick response. I understand the origin of my issue now.
Any advice on how I could reach the objective of having 2 libraries with agents pulling information in different languages?
It’s not fully achievable.
The main thing is to set the library language.
This should make the descriptions appear in the right language.
But you won’t be able to have one library showing e.g. Italian age ratings and another library showing American age ratings. Because that is a global selection.
