Limit to airing time does not work if you specify a value in Minutes before start

The title says it all. If I have “Minutes before start” set to zero then “Limit to airing time” works and scheduled recordings show up correctly. If i use a non zero value then no recordings are scheduled. It would appear that the scheduler is looking for matches based on the selected airing time minus the Minutes before start. So if I select 10am and have Minutes before start set to 2, then it looks for airings starting at 9:58am which clearly it won’t find.

I also still have a problem with the available airing times shown in the “Limit to airing time” list being one hour out. This is probably just a display issue as selecting a time does record the airing correctly i.e. the list shows 8am which will correctly record the 7am airing. I definitely have all the time settings on my server configured correctly.

I have the same issue. I have to set the “Minutes before start” to 0 minutes to get the right airing times. This have been a issue since the first Beta and I see more people having this issue.

I am having similar issues with Server Version 1.9.5.4339.
Family Feud airs four times in our area, same channel, all HD. (From experience I have learned not to trust guide data to provide accurate New/Repeat label information.) Airing at 9am, 9:30am, 7pm, 7:30pm. In attempting to limit the recordings to the evening airings I decided to record the 7pm with +30min after. As described above, ‘No Upcoming Airings.’ I reset the individual schedule padding times to 0,0 but still have no airings. I deleted the schedule and initiated again from the guide. Without adjusting the padding I selected 7pm in ‘Limit Airing…’ this resulted in ‘No Airings.’ After setting the universal padding times to 0,0 (in DVR settings,) still ‘No Airings.’ Selecting either of the AM times works as expected, neither of the PM times work. (Current Time ~11AM) I can confirm that selecting the AM airing times works UNTIL you add the ‘Minutes Before’ padding option, ‘Minutes After’ does not interfere. Seems we are pointing to the wrong field in the database, or there is not a value for Air Time vs. Schedule Start. Would help to be able to select a range (from hours in the day) instead of ONE from a list of Airings.

i’m having this issue on version 1.10.0.4523. selecting limit to air time and putting any number other than 0 in minutes before start causes the episode to get skipped in the recording schedule

Plex is aware of the issue with limit to air time and a minutes before padding value.

How do you know that Plex is aware of it?

The bug has been there since the very beginning of Plex DVR beta. Plex should prioritize bugs there are as oblivious as this.

Still an issue six months later. I wish there was a known bug list so we could verify that they know about this and are working on it. Should be a very easy fix.

being aware and actually fixing any bugs are two different things. The Plex M.O. is to say that they know about it, a a fix is coming, but it never does. Its just a way to have the thread disappear down the forum list.
