Links between libraries/their subfolders?

I’ve been using Plex for years and decided to expand my use of it as a study aid. Having access to class materials and being able to pick up where I left off has made it easier to study no matter where I am. The way I have it currently setup is with a library for a subject (e.g., ASL (American Sign Language)) and subfolders for each class (e.g., ASL 3, ASL Linguistics, etc.). The library is setup with the media type Home Videos. Unfortunately, some of the classes use both videos and photos (PDFs, too, but PlexReader isn’t here quite yet). I know I can’t have multiple media types in a library. Is it possible to create symbolic links to the Plex libraries/their subfolders that contain the photos for the class? This would allow me to jump back and forth quickly between the media types in separate libraries while feeling like I’m still in the class subfolder. Is something like this possible to do? I realize Plex wasn’t designed with studying in mind. Even so, I suspect I’m not the only one who’s interested in linking libraries and/or specific content within libraries to other libraries/subfolders (better yet, support multiple media types in a library). If Plex doesn’t support symbolic links, is there another way for me to easily view my content without having to back out to a different library?

I’m running my Plex Media Server on a Mac Mini running Mac OS X 10.10.5 (14F1808).

Could you make video slideshow of the slides? It would be kudgy at best, but for what it’s worth.

I did give this a try but it took too much time away from studying so I gave up on it. I thought I had read that they fixed #3928 in the current Plex Pass Plex Server, which I think is supposed to play videos in photo libraries. If that’s the case, then I can just setup the directories as photo libraries instead of Home Videos. I’m in the process of creating a duplicate directory but as photo instead of video and it seems to be working. It certainly takes less time than trying to create videos for all of the photos but I do miss not being able to include information about the videos. I hope that some day soon they’ll allow for displaying photos in video libraries so I’ll be able to use the video library features.
