Please. PLEASE. Please bring back list view on Apple TV. The waste of space is ridiculous.

Just double checked on my Apple TV 4K with the latest version of Plex for tvOS (public release 7.0 as well as test flight beta 7.1).
The list view is still available when you’re in library view. At the top-right of the view (just below Recommended, Library, Collections and Playlists) you should see an icon allowing you to set the display mode (square of 3x3 tiny squares).
After clicking on it you can pick from grid view (poster wall) and list view.
Plex will remember your selection when you next open that library.
This only partially works for folder view - top-level folders show as a list but any nested folders revert back to grid view with no options to change to list view. It previously wasn’t like this and list view worked all the way down the folder hierarchy and I haven’t seen anyone address this changed behavior. Can you address this behavior and if it’s being looked at?

The TestFlight version (7.1 beta) seems to address this and default folder view to list view to avoid further confusion.

thank you for your response. as I posed above (and confirming the other poster’s findings) only top level folders are shown in list view. all nest folders are in grid view with no option to change.
So… the good news is you found it again 
Plex has released version 7.1 of Plex for tvOS today. Based on what I can see, this includes an update on how things are displayed in folder view (no more distinction by grid vs. list mode – basically it’s now all in list mode).
I can confirm version 7.1 for Plex tvOS has fixed the issue. As with previous versions, all folders now display in list view, both top level and all nested folders. thank you.
