With the new Apple TV app, functionality has been lost when watching recordings that are in progress.
We usually record a show and after it’s been on for 10-20 minutes, we watch it from the start and fast forward adverts. The old AppleTV app did this, but the new app doesn’t allow it to start from the beginning. It’s not possible to rewind a recording while it’s in progress to the start.
