Live TV and playback of DVR recordings fail after 2-6 minutes with web clients and PMP

Since updating to the latest version of PMS, watching Live TV or DVR recordings will fail after 2 - 6 minutes from the web interface (multiple browsers on multiple computers) and from Plex Media Player (Windows 7). The problem does not seem to affect my Roku devices.

With the web clients, the video pauses, the yellow circle will spin as if it is buffering, but it will never start playing again. The only way to continue watching is to close the player and restart it. Playback will fail again in a few minutes. The behavior with Plex Media Player is almost the same except that after buffering for 60 seconds, the player closes on its own.

I don’t know if it’s related, but when trying to watch Live TV from Plex Media Player, I am always given the option of watching live, or watching from the start (which is always reported as being 3 minutes ago). Since nothing is actually being recorded, either option starts playing live.

In general, live TV seems to fail after 2 minutes exactly. Recordings will play longer, usually stopping around the 6 minute mark.

This problem did not start until updating to PMS 1.15.0.659. Unfortunately, reverting to 1.15.0.647 did not fix it. From two different Chromebooks and a Windows 7 laptop, Live TV will stop after 2 minutes every single time. DVR recordings (including older recordings that played flawlessly in the past) will stop at either 2:00 or 6:11 depending on the device.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
