Haven’t been able to watch a live stream using either the web player or the Plex Media Player in some time now. The PMP just errors out immediately, while the web player does play for a few mins, but errors out consistently after a few mins of viewing.

I experience the same issues. Plex used to work really well with Live TV, but the past 3-4 months has been a nightmare. Unstable and unexplainable issues with Live TV on both Apple TV, my Mac and my iPhone. When i check the same channels using VNC they play fine.
I am still having this similar issue (have for the last several months) when watching Live TV on my Windows 10 PC (via OTA and HDHomeRun tuner) using both Chrome or Edge browsers. No issues when viewing on Roku app. Just upgraded to Version 1.25.1.5286 today hoping it would fix but no luck.
The latest issue produced a “Failed to delete session directory…” error in the logs.
I’m on the latest beta server and I can confirm when watching on the computer / web it doesn’t register the connection and drops in 3 minutes. External clients like Roku and Android work fine.
Same here… - after 3min the strean terminates…
Last working good version for me is 1.24.4.5081 (is current in use).
Hope the WebPlayer will be fixed on Synology NAS…
I have been experiencing issues with LiveTV and DVR playback since the 1.25.x updates. It seems to be a transcoding issue on the client side as some clients work (Shield, Andriod) and some don’t (Vizio, web client, windows client) to varying degrees. LiveTV working was working on my shield last night, but not DVR playback of the same channel on the latest Plex Server Version. My Vizio TV has not worked for Live TV or DVR since the 1.25.x release. Everything works on server version 1.24.5.5173 for me. Hopefully this is correctly fixed soon.
I’m still experiencing the same thing in Chrome & Edge (on Windows 10 machines) browsers with PMS running on Windows 10 machine. Rare, if ever, see this issue via Roku app or mobile app. I’ve tried to track logs in Console and see some interesting warning messages (re: duration not found) but hit or miss on logs showing actual errors when the playback fails. As with most others in this list, I only started seeing this in the last several PMS builds dating back ~4-6 months or so. I even tried deleting my tuner/dvr and setting it up again (didn’t fix).
Using HDHomeRunQuatro for digital tuner from OTA. Current PMS build is 1.25.2.5319 (had hoped recent builds would fix (no luck yet).
Any advice on getting the proper previous builds (1.24.5.5173 seems to be popular/working re: this issue)?
Do you have “Use alternate streaming protocol for video playback” enabled in the web client? I helped another user with their web client stopping after 4-5 minutes and this was the issue. The session wouldn’t register on the dashboard either until this option was turned off when using any PMS version 1.24.5.5173+. After they fixed the Android issue.
