Any idea on when this will be added to the Android app?
All I can say is “soon”
Virtually none of this works on the ROKU and I see a nearly two year thread documenting that. Do you folks just post random features thinking people won’t notice they don’t work?
Hi! Thanks for this thread guys, I know you have spent a lot of time working on this, and I very much appreciate that! I’d like to say my EPG data works perfectly! Only questions I would have:
Are any of these new features like Picture in Guide or the new player coming to the Xbox app?
Like NDInnovations said above, I’d love to have some sort of favorites list.
Other than that, it’s been working great, thanks again guys!
Any idea when any of this will work on the ROKU?
You’ll need to be more specific than “any of this”. As there have been a lot of improvements over the last few months for a number of clients. If you can list specific issues, what app, app version, server version, steps to reproduce, and provide some logs, it would be much appreciated
As I posted above, most everything listed in the email about LiveTV trial does not work on the ROKU. Most obvious is time shifting and incorrect guide data.
That’s not what I asked for. Can you please post a list of specific issues, what app, app version, server version, steps to reproduce, and provide some logs from clients and server
Most recent Plex client (ROKU Ultra), most recent Server, i7 4th gen, no transcoding (MPEG2), Hauppauge quad pci tuner, 90+ for both quality and signal level. Other devices on same feed function flawlessly. GB switched network and rock solid WiFi for connections
Can’t time shift with any control or predictability, progress bar shows wrong data, guide data randomly shows series info instead of episode.
There’s a nearly 2 year old thread documenting all this yet you sent out an email telling people about all these features that don’t work and a free trial.
I see you’ve posted in the other thread so I know you’ve seen it.
Is there anyway a ‘last channel’ button could be added to the menu. Also can the timeout for the live tv menu be made settable? Thanks…
Can you please provide the actual version numbers, steps to reproduce, and the requested logs. If you don’t provide what we need to investigate, we cannot help you. Being passive-aggressive is also not appreciated. If you haven’t already, I’d suggest you have a read at our Community Guidelines.
Sorry, which menu are you referring to?
I see logs posted in the other thread as well as others reporting the same things. I don’t post my internal information on public websites. Sorry. I’m not being anything aggressive. All software is most recent as of this very moment from your systems.
Not sure what more you can possibly need. It just doesn’t function. No steps to reproduce other than use it. Are you telling me you use a ROKU with current software and it works for you? Like I said, in the other thread others report the same as what I am reporting here.
LIve TV - when watching a live TV show and you press the down direction. Also as a unrelated issue about this menu I created a post about a menu inconsistency depending on how you get into the Live TV show this menu will present a pip option in some cases but not others. I am really happy with 7.31 improvements btw
Old logs from old versions are not useful for identifying issues in current versions. Without the version numbers, we don’t even know exactly what version you’re on. As you’re unwilling to provide the required information, I don’t think we’ll be able to help you further at this point in time.
As I said, I’m on the most current version of your ROKU client and windows server. Do you not know what that is?
I’ve done what I can and pointed out some obvious flaws in your software and others have as well.
You can choose to ignore the or fix them. Good luck with that business model!
Hmm, I’ll need to look into that PiP issue. When you scroll down in the Live TV Player, it should show you your most recent channels, in the order you tuned them (most recent at on the left)
you are correct about the recent menu but it would just be a little more convenient to have a button right there on the menu ;-). Probable the more annoying thing is the menu timeout. Even just a couple of secs more imho would be better and user configurable would be better than sliced bread.
Only so many buttons we can fit
But we also wanted to give the option for more channels if you had several concurrent tunes going, and not just one or two.
The timeout is a balancing act, trying to given enough time to see what’s on screen, but not hang around too long on screen if you accidentally brought it up. We want to get your content in front of you as much as we can
Oh! Also forgot one of my suggestions, some sort of number input method to allow fast switching between larger numbers.
