Live TV/DVR - No Way To Initiate Playback Of Live Recording During "Extra/Padding" Time

I “reported” this in the other big thread in January. Not surprising that it looks like nothing has changed.

Start Watching Recording in Progress from Beginning(Failing)

Another scenario where this fails is with extended post padding. I often record an extra hour for sporting events. There is no way to start watching while it is recording in the post padding because the EPG no longer shows the event and it is not listed in the recordings library while it still is recording.
