Live TV & DVR not working for managed users

I got an issue with the Plex TV guide not loading on managed user accounts. It is fine on my account (server/main admin account) just not working for any managed user. It attempts to load the channels for about 30 seconds and then says “There was an error loading channels”. It’s not loading on any client I’ve tried web, Android, Fire TV, Xbox & PS4 but having no luck. I was hoping that if would fix itself and strangely it did for 1 day (yesterday) and now it’s not working yet again. I’ve tried removing the DVR and adding it back several times over the last month but with no luck. It’s really frustrating as I paid for a Plex Pass especially to use this feature and so far it’s been slow and very unreliable. So please can someone from Plex sort this out and get back to me in regards to this issue.

Update server its fixed.

I’m on the latest Public Release of Plex Server and it still not working. As I’ve already mentioned it was fine for a day (yesterday) and then today it stopped working again.

I updated to the latest public release (1.18.1.1973) which fixed the issue but then after a day my managed users couldn’t use Live TV again.

I’m pretty sure the user has to be a Home User to be able to access the guide - thats what I had to do for mine.

They’re all managed home users. It was working fine when I initially set Live TV up about 2 months ago but this last month the guide won’t load at all for managed users. I’m using the HDhomerun Quatro. I know that’s not the issue as it works perfectly via Kodi, which I’ve had to setup as a temporary solution until Plex fixes this issue or until someone can advise me on how to fix this.

So it looks like there was an issue with a previous update which broke the guide for shared users. I’ve just been asked to update the server and it seems to be working alright now. I just checked the Plex Media Server Announcements and StSimm1 has said

Plex Media Server 1.18.1.2019 is now available to everyone

FIXES:
• (LiveTV) Hubs and Grid may not load for shared users (or may take a long time to do so)

Hopefully the Live TV guide continues to function correctly. I will update this post if anything changes but so far this update 1.18.1.2019 seems to fix the issue.
